You can now use Special:RefHelper to help create these pages.

Decide on some short name that uses the authors' last name and the year published, for example "Smith 1995". For books, use the book's name and year published.

[edit] Create link (Optional)

Insert the following where you want the reference to go (If in "selected bibiography"):

{{:Cite:Smith 1995}}

[edit] Create reference

Follow the link (or type in http://neurov.is/on/Cite:Smith 1995) and type in the citation in the citation template:

Follow the red link on that page and paste:

where "Category:Publications_by_Smith" is added only if desired and this category is reserved for the intended author. You can then read the "Citation" section of the page to find out how to reference it.
